Mackley has been approved by the SafeContractor scheme, a requirement for organisations wanting to be registered contractors at Gatwick Airport.

The SafeContractor scheme provides an independent audit service for contractors who want to reassure their clients that health and safety is being handled correctly on their sites.

Qualified auditors from SafeContractor reviewed Mackley’s health and safety policies, procedures and documentation, taking into consideration the industry sector and company size.

Dan Argles, Mackley Project Manager, was required to provide approximately 100 pieces of documentary evidence to confirm Mackley’s competence in a range of disciplines.

Dan Argles said:

“We are delighted to have been accredited by the SafeContractor scheme.

“We will be targeting more airport work in the future, particularly at Gatwick which is located close to our head office and in an area where a significant proportion of our current work is based.”

Mackley is also a member of the British Aviation Group (BAG), the leading representative body for UK companies involved in the airport and aviation development sector.
