Links between Mackley and the University of Brighton continue to strengthen, with a delegation of first year civil engineering students visiting the Shoreham Adur Tidal Walls in December.

2017 has proved to be another busy, productive and exciting year for everyone involved with Mackley – here’s a quick-fire, month-by-month round up of some of the key highlights and achievements.

Mackley is working in partnership with Team Van Oord’s Dutch partner, Van Oord, on a project to provide improved protection for a wastewater outfall pipe on England’s north east coast.

Mackley is supporting Maddie Andrews who is taking on the ‘the one year on, one mile challenge’ tomorrow (15 Dec) to raise money for the Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) charity.

The Shoreham Adur Tidal Walls project team has picked up its first accolade, a commendation in the 2017 RTPI South East Awards for Planning Excellence.

Students from the University of Brighton have paid another visit to the Clay’s Lake Flood Prevention Scheme in West Sussex, where works have progressed during 2017 ahead of the winter shutdown.

Mackley was on hand to assist the Environment Agency with the construction of temporary flood barriers on the Isle of Wight on 21 October, as part of preparations for Storm Brian.
