Work on a new £4.5m flood alleviation scheme in the Surrey town of Godalming has recently got underway – with the local MP Jeremy Hunt paying a visit to site on 9 November.

Mackley has recently begun work on an important coastal defence project in Kent, which when complete will provide improved protection from the sea for many years to come.

Students from the University of Brighton have paid a last visit to the Clay’s Lake Flood Alleviation Scheme in West Sussex, where works are almost complete.

Members of the Shoreham Adur Tidal Walls project team recently donned their sporting club’s colours for a day – raising nearly £1,000 for Prostate Cancer UK in the process.

A primary school in Shoreham has expressed its gratitude to Mackley for supporting its fundraising efforts.

A total of 55 players from 14 teams took part in the Mackley annual golf day on 21 September, raising money for two local organisations.

Mackley is supporting World Mental Health Day 2018 – which this year focuses on young people and mental health in a changing world.

With only a few months until the scheduled completion of the Shoreham Adur Tidal Walls scheme, Mackley has published a progress update.

The Shoreham Adur Tidal Walls scheme is on schedule for completion by the end of the year, with the use of a Giken press piling train ensuring good progress over the summer months.

Mackley has been credited for playing a key role in the development of a marine boom which can soak up hydrocarbons and reduce the risk of pollution in fast flowing rivers.
