A visit to the site of a flood prevention scheme in West Sussex provided a group of civil engineering students from the University of Brighton with a valuable glimpse of ‘what collaborative engineering work looks like’.

Mackley is supporting a new Environment Agency campaign designed to help protect the public against the dangers and consequences of flooding.

Sir James Bevan, Chief Executive Officer was among a delegation of senior managers from the Environment Agency who paid a visit to the site where Mackley has commenced work on a scheme to provide better protection from flooding for the residents of Shoreham-by-Sea.

A second party of students from the University of Brighton will visit the Clay’s Lake project in West Sussex next week, as part of Mackley’s latest initiative to provide aspiring civil engineers with real life experience.

Mackley is looking forward to participating in Flood Expo, the world’s leading flood exhibition and conference, which is taking place this week.

Mackley has been accepted as a member of the British Aviation Group (BAG), the leading representative body for UK companies involved in the airport and aviation development sector.

Mackley has unveiled a number of new additions to its plant and vehicle fleet as part of a programme of continual investment to ensure the company and its employees are best equipped to operate efficiently and safely at all times.
