Mackley has joined an elite band of suppliers listed on JOSCAR, a prestigious accreditation system for the aerospace, defence and security sectors.

Works are underway to improve sea defences along a 3.7km stretch of the Kent coastline between Hythe and Dymchurch, the beach frontage of a Ministry of Defence (MoD) firing range.

Mackley has overcome supply issues caused by the Covid-19 pandemic to ensure continued progress on the latest phase of a scheme which will reduce the risk of coastal flooding for more than 4,500 homes and businesses on Portsea Island.

Works on a scheme to reduce the risk of flooding and erosion to properties in the West Sussex town of Arundel continue to progress, with the installation of steel sheet piles now complete. 

In line with Mackley’s commitment and focus on sustainability, sea-distressed timber – taken from groynes demolished as part of a scheme on the Kent coast – has been put to good use at Exmoor National Park.

Mackley is making good progress with a scheme of works to reinstate the River Wey Navigation Channel at Millbrook in Guildford – where the existing tumble weir and footbridge collapsed in November 2019.

Mackley has successfully completed a major element of a programme of works which will help maintain and enhance water supply for more than 700,000 residents in Surrey, Kent and south London.

Mackley has returned to the West Sussex town of Shoreham to re-construct a river wall on the northern bank of the River Adur.

Works on a coastal defence scheme in the West Sussex village of Elmer are nearing completion.

Working on behalf of the Environment Agency, Team Van Oord is successfully delivering emergency flood prevention works to protect the historic town of Sandwich in Kent.
