With only a few months until the scheduled completion of the Shoreham Adur Tidal Walls scheme, Mackley has published a progress update.

The Shoreham Adur Tidal Walls scheme is on schedule for completion by the end of the year, with the use of a Giken press piling train ensuring good progress over the summer months.

Mackley has been credited for playing a key role in the development of a marine boom which can soak up hydrocarbons and reduce the risk of pollution in fast flowing rivers.

Mackley has received confirmation that it has been approved by the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) to deliver the ICE Training Scheme.

Working as part of Team Van Oord and on behalf of the Environment Agency, Mackley is midway through a project to reduce the risk of flooding to a number of properties in the Royal Borough of Greenwich.

The Shoreham Adur Tidal Walls scheme features in the latest edition of the Environment Agency’s ‘Current’ magazine.

Mackley was proud to sponsor Paddle Round the Pier 2018 – Europe’s biggest charity beach festival – which took place in Brighton on 7-8 July.

A flood prevention scheme located near the West Sussex town of Crawley is nearing completion, with Mackley currently on-site to carry out the final phase of works.

Mackley recently participated in an interactive one-day event designed to celebrate, and raise the profile of, young people’s achievements in science and engineering.

A project to join up two sections of the Thames Path in Greenwich has been officially opened, with cyclists and pedestrians already taking advantage of the new elevated walkway.
