Mackley and Team Van Oord have welcomed the findings of the National Flood Resilience Review which was published earlier this month (8 Sept) by the Department for Environment.

A scheme to provide improved protection against the risk of flooding in and around Gatwick Airport is attracting considerable interest among civil engineering professionals.

Working on behalf of the Environment Agency, Mackley has recently completed a project to create a new outfall and access track at Graveney Marshes between Whitstable and Faversham in Kent.

Snowdogs by the Sea, a charity arts trail, will be officially launched in Brighton tomorrow (24 Sept), and Mackley is delighted to be involved in the initiative.

Working in behalf of Rother District Council, Fairlight Parish Council and the Environment Agency, Mackley has commenced work on a scheme to provide protection from coastal erosion to the village of Fairlight in East Sussex.

Working as part of Team Van Oord and on behalf of the Environment Agency, Mackley is about to begin a programme of major refurbishment works at East Farleigh Lock on the River Medway.

The Broomhill Sands Coastal Defence Scheme has been shortlisted in a further two categories in the 2016 British Construction Industry Awards.
