Working on behalf of Bournemouth Borough Council, Mackley has begun a clean-up operation after parts of Bournemouth’s East Cliff collapsed during a landslip in April.

Mackley is supporting a wide range of local sustainability projects by reclaiming and donating disused groynes which are extracted from a number of sea defence schemes.

The Pevensey Bay Sea Defence scheme has received a Gold National Site Award from the Considerate Constructors Scheme for a third consecutive year.

Mackley has seen its ‘dedication and ongoing commitment’ to its employees recognised through Silver level accreditation awarded by Investors in People (IIP).

Around 40 members of the IOSH South Downs Branch recently experienced an ‘enjoyable, interesting and informative site visit’ to see a flood alleviation scheme being carried out by Mackley as part of Team Van Oord.

Working on behalf of the Mayor and Commonalty and Citizens of the City of London, Mackley is nearing completion of a year-long project to construct a new staircase and footbridge to the north east side of London Bridge.

Four Mackley employees successfully completed the 2016 Warrior Run on 10 April in memory of the company’s former managing director and chairman, John Mackley, who sadly passed away in November 2015.

Working on behalf of the Environment Agency and as part of Team Van Oord*, Mackely is making good progress on the latest phase of major works to maintain the sea defences between Sea Palling and Winterton in North Norfolk.

Working as part of Team Van Oord*, Mackley successfully completed repairs to the damaged sea defences at Southsea in the agreed timescale, and the promenade re-opened in time for the Easter weekend.
