Working as part of Team Van Oord, Mackley is making good progress with a project to replace a weir on the River Medway at Tonbridge in Kent.

On the day the Government confirmed a £2.3bn investment in flood defence schemes across the country, a Government minister and local MP visited a £20m project on the south coast being delivered by Mackley working as part of Team Van Oord.

A flood defence scheme carried out by Mackley working as part of Team Van Oord has scooped its 13th award in the past 12 months.

A delegation from Mackley, Team Van Oord and the Environment Agency visited the House of Commons in Westminster earlier this week (10 Nov) to collect a Green Apple Award for Environmental Best Practice.

The Environment Agency, Mackley (working as part of Team Van Oord) and Jacobs enjoyed unparalleled success at the 2014 British Construction Industry (BCI) Awards’ ceremony in London on 8 October.
